New Shoes!

Have you ever seen such yummy shoes?

Are you drooling yet?

Maybe itching to get out for a run?

I love the mental boost I get from a new pair of running shoes.  I look forward to putting them on.  I smile when I see them in the closet.  I'm certain the shoes alone make me run faster and stronger.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes.  This is my third pair of this particular brand & model of shoe - The Mizuno Wave Creation.  My last pair of shoes was a different brand - a very good shoe indeed but just not the same as my Mizunos.  As with all of my Mizunos I really like how they fit (which is, of course, the most important factor in a running shoe) but I am also in LOVE with the appearance of these shoes - just enough of a fabulous shade of pink to be both feminine and completely hard core!  I was tempted to buy another pair to have on hand when these need to be replaced but I resisted.  I'll have to take my chances and hope that next season's design is even more yummy!

love them!!

i am also desperately in need of new running shoes. i have liked my new balance and could just go back to the new balance store to get another pair, but am thinking of branching out and going to Fleet Feet right by my house where they put you on a simulated treadmill that records your run and helps you determine the correct shoe for your foot and run. will certainly blog about it once i get over there.

And here I thought I might actually have a blog reader that I'm not related to!

I definately recommend going to your local running store - if for no other reason than to experience a proper running shoe fitting.

OH I am in desperate need of new shoes. Probably related to my knee issue. I have them in the February budget and can't wait. I was talking to someone today that said she does have 2 pair of running shoes and thinks that is vital. I am thinking of getting a nice running pair and a slightly cheaper pair to use for the gym. Mix it up a little. And a new outfit too. I read somewhere that you feel more like you know what you are doing if you look good. I definately find that to be true.

I've heard others recommend alternating between two pairs of shoes as well but I've never actually done it. I do have a pair of trail runners for outdoor running in the winter or anytime I want a little more traction. I also typically reserve my running shoes for running and use different shoes for walking, biking, spinning, group fitness, etc. I often use my previous pair of running shoes for this purpose since I don't feel like I need as much support for these activities...
